Safeware Awarded State of Florida Contract for Emergency Preparedness Equipment Through GovMVMT Cooperative Contract

State agencies and eligible users can now access a broad portfolio of preparedness, response, and recovery solutions under Enterprise ACS No. 46161700-25-GOVMVMT-ACS.

Lanham, MD – January 6, 2026: Safeware, Inc., a leading provider of safety, security, and emergency preparedness solutions, today announced it has been awarded a State of Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) contract through the full adoption of the GovMVMT cooperative contract for Emergency Preparedness Equipment with Related Products and Services under Enterprise Alternate Contract Source (ACS) No. 46161700-25-GOVMVMT-ACS.

The State of Florida contract enables state agencies—and other eligible users—to procure critical emergency preparedness products and related services directly from Safeware using an optional ACS purchasing path designed to help streamline procurement while supporting operational readiness.

This Enterprise ACS is based on a competitively procured master contract awarded by Hillsborough County Public Schools, Florida (Contract No. 24101-RFP-DST), which the State evaluated and determined to be cost-effective and best value for statewide use.

Safeware’s awarded scope includes a comprehensive range of emergency preparedness categories such as personal protective equipment (PPE), explosive device mitigation and remediation equipment, air purification, interoperable communications, detection and monitoring equipment, decontamination, medical supplies, physical security, and additional related products and services.

By leveraging the GovMVMT cooperative contract, Florida agencies can streamline procurement while maintaining strong value. We’re pleased to bring Safeware’s extensive preparedness portfolio to eligible purchasers statewide.” said David Kidd, Program Manager, GovMVMT.

Under the contract, eligible purchasers benefit from fixed discounts of 41% off Safeware catalog pricing on products and 10% off services and training, helping agencies maximize purchasing power while expanding access to trusted preparedness solutions.

Florida’s public safety and emergency management teams need reliable partners and rapid access to mission-ready solutions,” said Rick Bond, Chief Revenue Officer at Safeware. “This statewide award through the GovMVMT cooperative contract simplifies procurement and strengthens readiness. Agencies can equip, train, and respond with confidence when it matters most.

Safeware also supports customers with disaster-ready resources, including an online emergency center available 24/7, and after-hours emergency support at (800) 331-6707.

The State of Florida contract is effective through September 30, 2029 (unless terminated earlier or renewed in accordance with contract terms).
